Dancing Derek has been in our school for a number of weeks and the children from Junior Infants to 6th Class have really enjoyed learning lots of different dance routines.

All of the children in 6th class had the opportunity to work in teams to build, programme and adapt their own robots using the LEGO NXT robotic kits & VEX Robotic kits. While building the robots the children documented the process involved.

They also learned about some of the mechanics which are used in robots including: Levers, Coggs, Gears and Pulley Systems.

The children have been busy using Ipads to learn about coding using SCRATCH. They have created their own interactive stories, games, and animations.

February 2nd 2020: This week all of the children in the school participated in a Skipping Workshop. They learned the basics of skipping and even got to try out some more difficult routines individually and in groups. The chidlren are looking forward to putting their new learned skills into practice on the yard at break time.
