At Presentation Primary School we provide the children with lots of opportunities to develop a positive attitude towards maths. The school community works hard to instil a love of maths and encourages the children to become confident in using maths in their everyday lives.
National Maths Week in Ireland takes place from the 16th to the 22nd of October 2023.This year we will be taking part in different fun-filled and interactive activities in school to develop our mathematical skills over a period of 2 weeks to allow the children more time to enjoy the activities.
We would like to encourage the whole school community to get involved, including completing maths activities at home, to promote the development of the children's maths skills. A number of activities which can be carried out at home have been attached to this email. Take a look at the maths week website on: https://www.mathsweek.ie/2023/
Make sure you check out our Facebook and Instagram social media pages throughout the week to see all the fun activities which have been taking place.
There are lots of fun activities which you can do at home available on

Over the past number of weeks the children across the school have been learning about Neurodiversity. Through stories, games and videos they have explored how everyone is different. Just like how some people have different hair colours or favourite foods, our brains can be different too! This is what we call "Neurodiversity".
Neurodiversity is all about celebrating and accepting that everyone's brain works differently. We all have our strengths and things we might need a little extra help with. This is what makes us all UNIQUE and AMAZING!
Being neurodivergent is like having superpowers that make us special in our own way!
